If we could leave a 10-star review, we would. When we set out to build our forever home, we encountered Ontario Hydro layout rates. A few internet searches later, and we were on the phone with Mike. Mike set aside a good hour and a half to review the lifestyle adjustments we might need to make for living off-grid, powering our home with Solar. He was very patient, clear and detailed in what we should expect and how to review our needs. During the build process he and his team were flexible and accommodating. His service is exceptional and he is really passionate about what he does, and his clients. If you are considering solar powered anything - call Mike first. ~ Tim O
I've dealt with Ottawa Solar for 18 years, with multiple installations and follow-up services. I've also recommended them to family and friends. In every single case Mike has shown to be responsive, trustworthy, friendly and fair. Doesn't try to sell you equipment you don't need - he treats you like a friend and recommends what makes sense for you. I'm sure this is why he has so much customer loyalty. As anyone who has owned these systems will know - individual component pieces can be a commodity, but the thoughtful advice on the entire system purchase and the after sale service relationship is critical to protecting the investment and avoiding tons of headaches. We used Ottawa Solar to build a 10KW ground-mount grid-tie PV system this summer. Mike at Ottawa Solar was great. They are very responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. Mike provided realistic expectations of what to expect with the project and the performance. We have been live for 2 months now, and we are extremely pleased with the performance. So glad we installed it. We would definitely recommend people look at installing a PV system, especially these days with the various grant and loan programs available to offset some of the cost.
